Stories from the road, one plate at a time

We travel to eat — and we eat to understand places better. From LA wine bars to hilltop terraces in Tuscany, every journey becomes a collection of flavors, textures, and stories about the people behind the stove.

Two glasses of wine overlooking rolling hills

Golden hour, quiet hills & a simple aperitivo

We set up on a stone wall overlooking the vineyards just as the sun dropped low. Two glasses of rosé, a bowl of olives, and the distant sound of church bells — sometimes the best meals are the ones that leave room for the view.

The chef insisted on sending out just a few bites: local pecorino, marinated olives, and paper-thin slices of salumi. Nothing complicated, nothing forced; just ingredients that tasted like the landscape around us.

Coffee, cobblestones & tiny city cars

Mornings began with espresso and warm brioche at the same corner cafe, where the barista had our order memorized by day three. Between sips, we planned which trattoria or wine bar would be our next stop.

Travel is not just about eating — it’s also about the moments in between, the jokes with friends, and the photos that make no sense but carry the feeling of a perfect afternoon.

Green plates in green cities

In some cities we chase rooftops and plant-filled cafes that feel like urban jungles. The plates are as green as the decor, layered with herbs, citrus, and bright dressings.

How we choose where to go next

Our routes are shaped by seasonality, reader suggestions, and the stories we want to tell. Sometimes we chase a single dish across continents. Other times, we build city itineraries that connect street food with fine dining in one arc.
